Pastor Andrew back from Tonga
I arrived back in the early hours of this morning after a great few days in Tonga. God is moving amongst the people of this special nation and we are now waiting on His leading to know what our next step should be. Please pray for wisdom.

There’s some great opportunities coming up to invest in your spiritual lives, your marriages, and in sharing your faith with friends. Don’t miss these opportunities! I was challenged by my devotional reading this morning. Here’s a paraphrase from “Tozer of Christian Leadership”…

Self-righteousness is terrible amongst God’s people. If we feel that we are what we ought to be, then we will remain what we are. We will not look for any change or improvement in our lives. Self-righteousness leads to complacency and we become satisfied with far less than God intended - surely a great sin.

What a warning! God’s not finished with you yet - what a promise!

Teaching Weekend
During the next 24 hours you have an opportunity to invest in some serious spiritual growth. Starting tonight at 7pm the Alliance training department brings us a workshop on leadership from the book of Acts, taught by Bible College lecturer, Dr George Wieland. This continues on tomorrow from 9.30am. Suggested donation is $10 donation.

Father’s Day at BBCC
This Sunday we’ve got a great service planned with prizes and giveaways and an inspirational message from Jason Hotere. Last December, Jason and his team were here breaking bricks and bending bars as TX Aotearoa shared the gospel. On Sunday, Jason is back without the special effects, but with an equally powerful message. This is a great service to invite a friend - especially a dad.

Christianity Explored - 6 Saturday Nights starting 11th September
A brilliant course for anyone wanting to investigate Christianity or just brush up on the basics, this course looks at who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him. This course is being run at the Titirangi Community House as a way of getting the gospel into our community and we’d encourage people to come to attend the course for themselves, and to support our efforts to reach those outside of BBCC. Sign up at the Info Kiosk (it’s free).

The Marriage Course - 5 Thursday nights starting 16th September
If you’ve ben married for more than 1 year and want your relationship to be the best it can be, this course is for you. We’re offering an abbreviated version of the Alpha Marriage Course over just 5 weeks starting on Thursday, 16th September. This material is excellent and I highly recommend you take part. Attending a course like this is not an admission that you’ve got problems in your marriage, it’s an expression of wisdom in caring enough to invest in your long term future as couple. Registrations are essential so please sign up this Sunday if your keen - the price is a steal at only $30 per couple.

See you on Sunday!
