Our Partnership with MindHealth

In December 2021 we were approached by Richard Black, the founder and director of Mind Health about partnering in a new initiative with Mind Health Interns. The Interns are mature counselling students in their 3rd or 4th year of training at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, who provide 100 hours of counselling as part of their training. The cost is paid by the church which makes the service free for people to access.

It’s always been our dream to provide Christian counselling services to our church and community and so entered in this partnership with our first counselling intern starting in February 2022.

About Tony Steele

Tony Steele

3rd Year Bachelor of Counselling Bethlehem Tertiary Institute

I have been married for seventeen years and we have three teenage children. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, discussing the wonderfulness of God, watching sci-fi and playing with technology.

I have worked with several ministries and NGOs and have more recently been working as a student counsellor with children and young people at a counselling agency. I am passionate about seeing people overcome from whatever holds them back and embrace their own potential, wellbeing and freedom.

I have a faith in Father God which is very important to me. I find that as I put my trust in Jesus, he walks with me and strengthens me in my life.
