Life Groups
LIFE GROUPS are all about connecting with people and growing in our faith and meet at different times and places across the city.
We have groups for men, women, mixed, youth and young adults, and more groups planned and every group is open to new people.

Avondale Life Group
Our life group is open to anyone 18+, regardless of where you’re at on your spiritual journey. We explore the Bible, mainly through video resources from Right Now media, and enjoy lively, in-depth discussions where people can ask questions, share insights, and grow in faith together. We also share and pray together, and food is always a feature. We enjoy occasional food orientated social events, and we’re looking at ways to reach out to a new housing development that’s about to open.

Forge Men
Forge Men is a space for men to grow stronger in faith, character, and community. It’s where God shapes us—like iron in the fire—into men who live with courage, integrity, and purpose. We connect with other BBCC men through Men’s Breakfasts, and with our community through monthly Prayer Walks and special events.

Gold Club
This life group is for seniors (65 and above). We are an experienced group of people who share their experiences and support one another through life’s ups and downs. Despite the challenges that come with aging we are committed to coming together, to align ourselves with God in his Word and go forward in our faith journey.

Marys & Marthas (M&Ms)
We are a group of women who love the Lord and want to grow more in grace and share the love of Jesus to others. We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 12.30 pm and finish by 2.00 pm to allow mums to be home in time for children. We do not meet during school holidays as this allows those with children not to miss out on anything regarding the group during that time.

Soul Sisters
This Life Group is open to women. We are a group who are seeking to hear from God in every part of our lives, we do real life together (lots of laughter and tears) and also have a lot of fun. At each meeting we enjoy a cuppa and a catch up, a time of study and finish with a good time of sharing and prayer.

The Gathering
We meet every Tuesday, from 7:00-9:00pm. At The Gathering we love to connect with God through guided studies and lectio divina, we connect with each other through shared meals and games and strive to connect with our community through our monthly boardgame nights (Blockhouse Game Night). If you’re interested in being a part of an intentionally missional Life Group that seeks to use community to connect others with Christ, you are welcome here.

The Village
We begin with refreshments and sharing our weeks’ experiences before moving into a time of prayer/worship. After this we move to a time of study of God’s Word asking, “what did it mean then?” and “what does it mean for us now?”. We conclude each gathering with prayer for each other to overcome the challenges we face in the week ahead.
